I have always been a lover of lists, especially bucket lists. I have been making them for anything and everything for as long as I can remember. Before leaving for this adventure, I was looking through journals and lists of goals from sixth grade. Traveling to France, Italy, India and Japan were the countries that fascinated me the most. I knew I would explore each one some day, no matter what. The only one left to visit was Japan and I can finally say I can check it off my childhood bucket list!

I had planned to visit Japan towards the end of my travels in Asia, starting in India and making my way through Southeast Asia. I did start in India, however plans have changed a little and I’ll be making my way through Asia the opposite way, finding myself again in India a little later.

Everywhere I travel, I try to make a bucket list of things I would like to explore, visit and learn. Sometimes the list is small and sometimes large. I am always open to new experiences whether it’s on my list or not, however I find that having a list is motivating, exciting and a good place to start. I may not do everything I had planned, but I do my best.

My list for Japan is a larger one and is full of experiences I have dreamed of having since a child. Take a look at my bucket list here and follow me as I explore each one!

What items did you have on your childhood bucket list?
